Control of rots and residues in peaches and nectarines treated with vinclozolin

In a study on Fantasia nectarines with vinclozolin (as Ronilin) at 2 kg/ha applied in the field twice, the best control of Monilia (Sclerotinia fructigena) rot followed treatments just before harvest, notably 27 + 12 and 33 + 3 days before. Residues at harvest and after storage were very low. In a study on Cresthaven peaches a single vinclozolin field spray left a 0.2 p.p.m. residue on attached fruits after 30 days but spraying twice left a much higher residue.
