Control of spray variables to achieve optimum foliar coverage with Tandem herbicide

In trials over several states the activity of mixtures of Tandem (tridiphane) + atrazine (0.5 + 1 lb a.i. and 0.38 + 0.75 lb a.i./acre each + 1 quart crop oil concentrate) against Setaria faberi showed a positive correlation between spray vol. (5-40 gal/acre according to nozzle type) and weed control. An inverse relationship was established between vol. median diam. and S. faberi control.
