Owing to recent increases in the infestation of greenhouse crops by tarsonemid mites in Europe, greenhouse tests on the control of Polyphagotarsonemus latus were carried out in Belgium, using endosulfan, dicofol, chinomethionat and methomyl against the mite on Psophocarpus tetragonolobus (Goa bean) and with dicofol, bromopropylate, azocyclotin and avermectin B1 on castor (Ricinus communis).
