, : Control of the oestrous cycle in gilts by means of Allyl trenbolone. Zootechnia 33(7-9): 172-176

100 Landrace and Duroc gilts, aged 7.5 months, and 10 Large White gilts, aged 10 months, were fed 20 mg alpha -trenbolone (altrenogest) daily for 18 days. Of the gilts aged 7.5 months, 88 and 10% exhibited oestrus within 9 and 14 days resp. of the end of treatment, 79 and 80% became pregnant, and litter size at birth averaged 7.8 and 8.3 piglets.
