Young trees of pear cultivars Beurre Hardy on quince rootstocks and of Beurre Bosc on seedlings of the local pear Pepenii, planted at 2500 trees/ha, were treated with paclobutrazol once (1 month after full bloom) at 1000 p.p.m., or twice (1 and 2 months after full bloom) at 1000 + 1000 p.p.m.
