Control of virus-transmitting aphids in potatoes and sugar beet with a formulated mixture of deltamethrin and heptenophos

A deltamethrin-heptenophos mixture (at 425 g/litre EC), demeton-S-methyl (at 580 g/litre EC), dimethoate (at 400 g/litre EC), pirimicarb (at 500 g/kg soluble grain) and thiofanox (at 50 g/kg granular formulation) were tested for the control of aphids on sugarbeet and potatoes in a series of trials in 1983-1985 in the UK. The deltamethrin-heptenophos mixture gave effective control of both species and reduced the incidence of virus diseases, such as virus yellows.
