Control of weeds and volunteer crop plants. New chemicals for seed crops

, : Control of weeds and volunteer crop plants. New chemicals for seed crops. Nordisk Jordbrugsforskning 68(4): 544

This paper was presented at the Nordiske Jordbrugsforskeres Forening Seminar No. 91, on forage plant seed production, held at Malmo, Sweden in 1986. In Poa pratensis seed crops, volunteer cereals were best controlled by 1 kg TCA + 1 litre chlorpropham/ha in Sep. In Festuca rubra either this mixture or Fervin or Fusilade should be sprayed at the 3-leaf stage of the cereal. In Lolium perenne and L. multiflorum seed crops, Nortron gave best control of volunteer cereals if applied in late Sep.
