Control of weeds in chewing tobacco nursery beds

Souvenir VI national symposium on tobacco, February 13-17, 1986: 44

Experiments on weed control in tobacco nursery with black and white alkathene mulch cover, 0.5 and 1.0 kg Basaline ha, rabbing (burning crop residues) and hand weeding showed that rabbing the nursery bed gave significantly higher number of transplantable seedlings and lower weed FW than other weed control treatments; weed DW was similar in all treatments.
