Control of weeds in fallow with FMC 57020

FMC 57020 (2-(2-chlorophenyl)methyl-4,4-dimethyl-3-isoxazolidinone) formulated as a 4 EC is of low mammalian toxicity (Toxicological Category III). It is non-mutagenic, non-teratogenic and non-carcinogenic. It is practically non-toxic to upland birds and waterfowl and only slightly toxic to fresh water fish. FMC 57020 is primarily a soil-acting compound taken up through the shoots and leaves and translocated to the leaves. It inhibits chlorophyll and carotenoid biosynthesis.
