Chemical control of Bemisia tabaci on green gram (Vigna radiata) and transmission of yellow mosaic virus by the aleyrodid were investigated in Gujarat, India, in the rainy and summer seasons of 1981 and 1982, respectively. Of the 10 insecticide treatments tested, a mixture of phorate 2G and monocrotophos (0.04%) was the most effective during the rainy season while the same mixture with the addition of orchard oil (2%) gave better protection during the summer.
