Control of winter damaging fungi in wheat and rye

Vaxtskyddsnotiser 51(3): 74-80

The effects of autumn treatment with Benlate were tested in Sweden in 129 field experiments with winter wheat during 1976-86 and 147 experiments with winter rye during 1973-86. The fungicide gave good control of Gerlachia nivalis and had some effect on Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides infection. Best control was obtained by fungicide application at early sowing and when the crop had become well developed in the autumn.
