Control studies on eucalyptus borer Phoracantha semipunctata Fab. in Egypt

, : Control studies on eucalyptus borer Phoracantha semipunctata Fab. in Egypt. Bulletin of the Entomological Society of Egypt, Economic Series1985 1986; 14: 305-310

Five insecticides were tested for the control of the cerambycid Phoracantha semipunctata in the field in Egypt by spraying logs cut from infested eucalyptus trees (Eucalyptus) in 1982-84. Sprayed alone, the insecticides caused up to 24% mortality of P. semipunctata larvae 2 weeks after application, but the addition of 1% kerosene and 1% soft soap greatly increased the effectiveness of the insecticides.
