Control system of final moisture content of material in convective dryers

Control system of final moisture content of material in convective dryers

Sixth international drying symposium IDS ' 88 Proceedings of a conference held in Versailles, France, 5-8 September 1988 Volume 1: OP.645-651

The principle aim of automation of solid and loose material drying is to minimize energy consumption and to maintain the desired constant final m.c. The requirements for the control system and examples of solutions for loose materials (maize) are presented. The effect of disturbances of the process of determining initial m.c., Xo, and drying medium temp., To, on system design and operation is discussed.
