Controlled deterioration as a vigour test for sweet pepper seed

Capsicum seed lots obtained from parent plants under different nutrient regimes showed no differences in germination under laboratory germination tests. An attempt was made to devise a treatment which would cause medium deterioration in germination before testing the vigour of seed lots.
