Cutaneous lesions caused by Leishmania major in Italians working in Saudi Arabia

Leishmania isolates were cultured from 3 Italians who had returned from Saudi Arabia. 2 of these patients presented with the typical appearance of oriental sore while the 3rd had a large ulcer on the left hand from which numerous nodules had formed along the lymphatic system extending up to the armpit.
