Effect of earthing, drum rolling and defoliation on groundnut

Effect of earthing, drum rolling and defoliation on groundnut

Indian Journal of Agronomy 31(1): 104-105

ISSN/ISBN: 0537-197X

Earthing-up groundnuts 45 days after sowing (DAS) increased the 3-year av. pod yields from 2.81 to 3.09 t/ha. Drum rolling twice at 50 DAS significantly increased the yield in 1980 (a wet year) by increasing peg penetration into the moist soil, but decreased it in other years.
