Effect of energy intakes of sows during late pregnancy on their reproductive performance

Effect of energy intakes of sows during late pregnancy on their reproductive performance

English Summary of Annual Research Report, July 1986 June 1987, Animal Industry Research Institute, Taiwan Sugar Corporation: 33

From day 80 to 110 of gestation 51 sows were given daily 2.5 kg of basal diet containing 16% crude protein and digestible energy (DE) 3.2 Mcal/kg (8.1 Mcal/sow) without or with dry cassava pomace (DCP) 1 kg containing DE 2.5 Mcal/kg (9.3 Mcal/sow) from day 95 to 110 of gestation or with DCP 1 kg (10.6 Mcal/sow). Weight gains were 20.4, 27.4 and 29.5 kg, respectively, with the first 2 values significantly different.
