Effect of some growth regulators on fruit maturity and quality of Japanese plum (Prunus salicina Lindl.) cv. Santa Rosa

In order to improve fruit firmness and quality, different concentrations of growth retardants SADH CCC a morphactin (CME) and TIBA were sprayed at pit-hardening. TIBA at 10-25 p.p.m. and SADH at 500 p.p.m. significantly increased fruit firmness, and CCC at 200 or 500 p.p.m. and TIBA at 10 p.p.m. increased the total soluble solids content. The sugar content was increased by CCC, SADH and CME.
