Effect of the nucleus and cytoplasm on the ultrastructure of chloroplasts from the leaf mesophyll of maize

Effect of the nucleus and cytoplasm on the ultrastructure of chloroplasts from the leaf mesophyll of maize

Genetika i Selektsiya 19(6): 463-472

In a study of 16 lines of Wf9, A632, B37 and B73 with up to 6 different male-sterile cytoplasms (6 cytoplasms in Wf9, 4 in A632 and 3 in each of the other forms), variation in 15 characters of chloroplast ultrastructure depended to a greater extent on genetic factors (nuclear and cytoplasmic) than on other factors.
