Effect of water-management practices on the yield of rice grown on land with different water-table depths in Khasi foothills
Trials in the Khasi foothills on water management of rice grown on soils with the water table at various depths showed that continuous shallow subemergence (5 + 3 cm) gave the highest paddy yields on bench terraces where the depth to the water table was 20-110 cm.
