175 ova from Korean and Holstein-Friesian (HF) cows were fertilized in vitro and incubated in media containing 10% foetal calf serum or 0.4% bovine serum albumin (BSA). After 4 days of incubation in BSA, 22% of Korean ova had cleaved compared with 4.4% of HF ova; in foetal calf serum 14.8% of Korean ova cleaved.
