Effects of certain insecticides on Liriomyza trifolii (Burgess) (Diptera: Agromyzidae) and its parasitoids on chrysanthemums in Hawaii

Effects of certain insecticides on Liriomyza trifolii (Burgess) (Diptera: Agromyzidae) and its parasitoids on chrysanthemums in Hawaii

Proceedings of the Hawaiian Entomological Society, 26: 65-70

In tests of insecticides in chrysanthemum nurseries in Hawaii, cyromazine and abamectin proved to be the most effective against Liriomyza trifolii on plants grown as pot plants or for cutting. Oxamyl, alone or with methomyl (in a tank-mix), and permethrin with microencapsulated methyl-parathion (in a tank-mix) were also effective against the agromyzid.
