Effects of chemical weed control on hardwood plantation establishment

Effects of chemical weed control on hardwood plantation establishment

Proceedings, North Central Weed Control Conference (Vol.40): 28

Of 9 herbicide treatments tested for site preparation and 2nd growing season maintenance, the most cost-effective was 0.1 kg sulfometuron/ha for both treatments. The slight toxicity to hardwood species was offset by superior weed control. Weed control was slightly less good with the second treatment.
