Effects of chilling temperatures and light on photosynthesis in rice flag leaves at the milk-ripe stage

Effects of chilling temperatures and light on photosynthesis in rice flag leaves at the milk-ripe stage

Acta Phytophysiologica Sinica 13(4): 371-377

In rice flag leaves at 10, 15, 20 or 25 degrees C, the rate of photosynthesis and the apparent quantum yield decreased with decreasing temp., with a greater effect on photosynthetic rate than quantum yield. The decrease was greater with treatment in light than in darkness. Chilling also increased stomatal resistance.
