Foliar application of Zn, Mn and B in addition to basal NPK (each at 60 kg/ha) had a favourable effect on shoot growth increment. Treatment with 0.5% TUR retarded shoot growth and reduced the leaf ascorbic acid content; there was also a reduction in fruit drop.
