Effects of creep feeding on the ability of weaned pigs to respond to an Escherichia coli challenge and on their absorption of ovalbumin and xylose

Effects of creep feeding on the ability of weaned pigs to respond to an Escherichia coli challenge and on their absorption of ovalbumin and xylose

Animal Science Research Report, Virginia Agricultural Experiment Station, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University1987; (6): 112-116

Creep feeding of newly weaned pigs tended to increase the response to a challenge with Escherichia coli given by mouth; absorption of ovalbumin, which was similar for pigs creep fed or not creep fed, increased from day 1 to 4 after weaning and decreased linearly afterwards to day 13.
