In trials in the kharif seasons of 1981-84, av. seed yields of black gram T-9 spaced at 5, 10 or 15 cm in rows 22.5, 30.0 or 37.5 cm apart and given 25 kg each of N and K2O and 0, 25 or 50 kg P2O5/ha did not differ significantly between spacings and were 552, 704 and 778 kg/ha with the 3 P rates, resp.
