Effects of cytochalasin B on the development of pollen mother cells of Secale cereale L

Effects of cytochalasin B on the development of pollen mother cells of Secale cereale L

Acta Biologiae Experimentalis Sinica 21(1): 11-16

When cultured on White's medium supplemented with 5-40 micro mol cytochalasin B, many anthers excised at leptotene or zygotene failed to develop beyond the zygotene stage. The proportion of anthers arrested at this stage increased with cytochalasin B concentration.
