Effects of different water table depths and moisture regimes on the growth and yield of cassava Manihot esculenta Cranz

Effects of different water table depths and moisture regimes on the growth and yield of cassava Manihot esculenta Cranz

Agricultural Research Journal of Kerala 22(1): 93-95

Yields of cassava H 1687 given 0, 10 to 20 1 water/plant every 5 days from 1 Dec. to 1 June were 4.84, 4.06 and 6.67 kg/plant when the water table was 180 cm deep and 3.49, 3.09 and 7.11 kg/plant when the water table was 80 cm deep. The top 15 cm soil layer was relatively dry in the absence of irrigation.
