In trials at Mesa, Arizona in 1981-83, 6 wheat were given (a) N, P and K rates recommended for wheat in Arizona (160 kg N + 81 kg P2O5 + 0 kg K2O/ha), (b) 10 t dried sewage sludge/ha, supplying the same amount of N as (a), or (c) inorganic fertilizer supplying the same NPK rate as (b) (160 kg N + 310 kg P2O5 + 36 kg K2O/ha).
