Effects of egg weight and diameter on hatchability, chick weight at hatching and final fattening weight

Effects of egg weight and diameter on hatchability, chick weight at hatching and final fattening weight

Revista Avicultura 31(1): 29-37

Data on 600 eggs were analysed. Egg weight averaged 65.1+or-4.8 g, and egg hatchability was 86%. The max. egg diameter averaged 59.8+or-2.7 mm and the min. diameter 44.0+or-1.9 mm, and body weight at hatching 46.8+or-3.6 g and at 56 days of age 1.25+or-0.16 kg.
