Effects of environment hormonal contamination in Puerto Rico



Estrogens in the environment: 404-411



Increased prevalence of premature sexual development and reactive hypoglycaemia in Puerto Rico was investigated. Examination of environmental hormone contamination involved assay of food samples (milk, chicken, pork, beef) for oestrogens using cytosol prepared from immature rabbit uterus.
