Effects of ethnicity on immunologic components in human milk



Human lactation 2 Maternal and environmental factors: 569-579



Studies on total IgA and specific IgA antibodies and other protective factors in human milk and colostrum collected in different countries are discussed. It is concluded that ethnic group and nutritional status are not important determinants of the quantity of immune factors in human milk.
