Effects of farm yard manure, spacings and nitrogen application on chemical constituents of elephant foot corm (Amorphophallus campanulatus Blume)

A. campanulatus corm yields were increased from 31.81 to 36.73 t/ha by applying 30 t FYM/ha and from 33.24 to 34.45 and 35.40 t by increasing N rates from 0 to 100 and 150 kg/ha, resp. Yields at a spacing of 90 cm between plants in rows 60, 90 and 120 cm apart were 40.14, 33.70 and 28.99 t/ha, resp. FYM increased the P, K and silica contents in corms, but had no effect on N and starch contents. Applied N increased the N, P, K, starch and silica contents.
