Effects of feeding salt-tolerant grasses on the reproductive efficiency of dwarf goats

Effects of feeding salt-tolerant grasses on the reproductive efficiency of dwarf goats

Nuclear and related techniques in animal production and health Proceedings of a symposium, Vienna, 17-21 March 1986, jointly organized by IAEA and FAO: 123-133

Kallar grass (Leptochloa fusca) grown on land irrigated with brackish water was evaluated for its effects on the growth and reproduction of dwarf goats. One group (group 1) of goats was given only L. fusca throughout the year. Another group (group 2) was allowed to graze freely on an area where there was L. fusca and other wild plant species.
