Effects of fenitrothion insecticide on inhabitants of leaves of the pitcher plant, Sarracenia purpurea L

Effects of fenitrothion insecticide on inhabitants of leaves of the pitcher plant, Sarracenia purpurea L

Canadian Entomologist 119.7-8: 647-652

By injecting fenitrothion into fluid in leaves of pitcher plants (Sarracenia purpurea) in the field, it was determined that the mosquito Wyeomyia smithii and the chironomid Metriocnemus knabi are under some risk from fenitrothion forest sprays against Choristoneura fumiferana in New Brunswick at 210 g a.i./ha.
