A topical formulation of ivermectin (500 micro g/kg) was evaluated against gastrointestinal nematodes (Ostertagia ostertagi, Haemonchus contortus, Trichostrongylus axei, Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia oncophora, Cooperia spp., Nematodirus spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Bunostomum phlebotomum) in imported feedlot cattle. At 7 days after treatment the e.p.g. reduction rate was 68%; at 28 days faecal examinations were negative.
