Evaluation of the specificity and sensitivity of two commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits, the serum plate agglutination test, and the hemagglutination-inhibition test for antibodies formed in response to Mycoplasma gallisepticum

Evaluation of the specificity and sensitivity of two commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits, the serum plate agglutination test, and the hemagglutination-inhibition test for antibodies formed in response to Mycoplasma gallisepticum

Avian Diseases 32(2): 262-272

Serum samples from 2 groups of chickens, one known to be positive and the other negative for Mycoplasma gallisepticum antibodies, were used to compare the abilities of 2 enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits, 7 serum plate agglutination (SPA) antigens and the haemagglutination inhibition (HI) test to detect antibodies to M. gallisepticum.
