Experimental transmission to calves and proliferation in peripheral blood lymphocytes of the virus associated with a cultured lymphoid tumour cell line from the calf type of bovine leukosis

Experimental transmission to calves and proliferation in peripheral blood lymphocytes of the virus associated with a cultured lymphoid tumour cell line from the calf type of bovine leukosis

Bulletin of Nippon Veterinary and Zootechnical College (36): 1-7

Two calves were injected s.c. with a bovine T-lymphoid tumour cell line (BTL-C3) from a case of the calf type of bovine leukosis associated with herpesvirus-like particles(BTLV). Serum antibody titres, determined by indirect immunofluorescence assay, to BTL cell-associated abnormal antigen, rose immediately and reached 1:20-1:40 one month after inoculation.
