Fertility trials in zebu cattle with natural oestrus or oestrus induced by PGF2 alpha , comparing natural mating with AI

Fertility trials in zebu cattle with natural oestrus or oestrus induced by PGF2 alpha , comparing natural mating with AI

Memorias, Asociacion Latinoamericana de Produccion Animal 1985; 18: 142-143

234 zebu cows were injected with 25 mg PGF2 alpha and inseminated (group 1), or were given the PGF2 alpha and mated naturally (group 2), or received no treatment and were inseminated (group 3) or mated (group 4). Of cows in groups 1 and 2, 46.38 and 54.84% resp. exhibited oestrus an average of 68.75 and 59.5 h after treatment.
