Glulam elements for upholstered furniture frames

, : Glulam elements for upholstered furniture frames. Holztechnologie 27(3): 127-129

Studies on bending strength of Scots pine glulam elements indicated that they can be used for furniture frames without enlargement of their cross-sectional dimensions beyond those used for solid wood. Three-layered glulam elements in which finger joints had been used as lengthening joints had bending strengths 75-95% that of solid wood.
