Goal in alfalfa

, : Goal in alfalfa. Proceedings, 39th annual California weed conference: 121

In grower trials in established Medicago sativa in the Sacramento and San Joaquin valleys, a tank mixture of Goal + paraquat gave at least 90% control of winter annual weeds. Some increased sensitivity of the crop was evident (leaf necrosis and height reduction), compared with either component alone, but yield and quality (% protein and TDN) of the forage were unaffected. Best selectivity was obtained with 0.25-0.38 lb a.i.
