Grain drying with effective use of atmospheric energy on storage drying of wheat

, : Grain drying with effective use of atmospheric energy on storage drying of wheat. Proceedings of the international symposium on agricultural mechanization and international cooperation in high technology era, University of Tokyo, 3rd April, 1987: 305-312

To analyse the factors which decrease drying efficiency and economic stability of a storage drying system, a simulation was conducted with the sphere drying model. Temp. rise caused by the fan was analysed for its airflow and performance curve, and was proved to be compatible with experiments. Different drying operations (heating or non-heating aeration, etc.) and different sets of depths of packed grain beds were also analysed by computer simulation.
