To analyse the factors which decrease drying efficiency and economic stability of a storage drying system, a simulation was conducted with the sphere drying model. Temp. rise caused by the fan was analysed for its airflow and performance curve, and was proved to be compatible with experiments. Different drying operations (heating or non-heating aeration, etc.) and different sets of depths of packed grain beds were also analysed by computer simulation.
