Significant differences were found between the rice mutants DM16-5-1 (aromatic) and FG6 (non-aromatic), on the one hand, and their respective parents Basmati 370 (aromatic) and IR6, on the other, for grain length : breadth ratio, chalkiness, protein content and gel consistency, but not for 8 other quality traits.
