Grape phylloxera (Homoptera: Phylloxeridae) biotypes confirmed by electrophoresis and host susceptibility

, : Grape phylloxera (Homoptera: Phylloxeridae) biotypes confirmed by electrophoresis and host susceptibility. Annals of the Entomological Society of America, 811: 1-5

Five of 27 species of grapes (Vitis arizonica, V. flexuosa, V. longii, V. monticola and V. riparia) were found to differ in their susceptibility to form leaf galls caused by 2 biotypes of the grape pest Daktulosphaira vitifoliae Electrophoretic differences were detected in V. vitifoliae from 6 species of grapes (Vitis aestivalis, V. amurensis, V. champini, V. 'Clinton' (riparia X lubruscana), V. lincecumii, V. sampsonii and V. treleasei).
