The results are given of a project conducted by FAO in 1986 to assist the Government of Trinidad and Tobago in formulating a pest management strategy for the control of the acridid Coscineuta virens, a sporadic pest of a wide range of crops. The project involved organizing and conducting a 2-week training course on locust survey and control methods, ground surveys and control operations, including chemical control trials, and ecological and biological studies on the local grasshoppers.
