Greenhouse structural modeling
A structural design was proposed for an internal bay of the vertical south roof greenhouse. The greenhouse bay consists of a system of orthogonal trusses including longitudinal trusses parallel to ridge and gutter, in the clerestory south roof, and transverse trusses, across the spans supporting the sloping north roofs. Secondary framing consists of purlins and glazing bars. A structural model study was carried out to validate the design procedure.
