Groundnut complementary crop in the irrigated areas of the Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia
Sixteen groundnut grown with irrigation in the middle Awash region of the Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia gave 3-year av. pod yields of 455-766 kg/ha; NC4X gave the highest yields followed by Florispan with 696 kg. Florispan is characterized by early maturity and relatively high oil content. An irrigation of 125 mm applied at 2-week intervals gave highest yields.
