Groundnut-millet, (Pennisetum typhoides) intercropping under Barani conditions
P. typhoides for fodder was intercropped with groundnuts in mixtures containing (a) 25, (b) 50, (c) 75 or (d) 100% P. typhoides. Groundnut yields in (a) exceeded those of the groundnut monoculture which were comparable to those in (b). P. typhoides yields in (a)-(d) were lower than in the monoculture. Treatments (b) and (d) gave higher land equivalent ratios (1.6 and 1.59, resp.) than (a) and (c) (both 1.41).
