, : Helminthiases of dogs with a direct risk to man and domestic animals in Bosna-Hercegovina. Veterinaria, Yugoslavia 35(2): 153-159

Examination of digestive organs from 287 stray dogs in the area of Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, revealed 11 species of helminths, including the following which can be zoonotic: Metagonimus yokogawai in 2.6%, Dipylidium caninum in 44.9%, Echinococcus granulosus in 5.9% and Toxocara canis in 50%. 17.2% of 174 stray dogs from 6 districts of Bosna-Hercegovina were infected with E. granulosus.
